Postponement Rules

You can define worker and eligible jobholder postponement rules and formulas at the organization level. The TRU-level values override PSU-level values, if defined.

Use the Legal Entity or Legal Reporting Unit Calculation Cards task to define values on the Pensions Automatic Enrolment calculation card at the appropriate level. Make sure that you complete these fields on the Pensions Automatic Enrolment card:

Worker Postponement Rule Eligible Jobholder Rule includes these options:

• Last pay reference period start date within deferment
• Next pay reference period start date
• None

Note: To use your own formula, ensure that you have previously defined the formula to select it here.

When a new assignment creates a new assessor component, the component can be placed on Worker Postponement independently of existing assessor components. The assessment uses the earliest start date of the current assessor component rather than the worker’s hire date. This ensures that newly created assessor components are assessed correctly for Worker Postponement while preventing existing assessor components from being placed on a second postponement period.
