Refresh Indexes After Upgrade

Oracle Search indexes are automatically reingested with release upgrades. You must not reingest the existing Oracle Search indexes manually.

However, for Item and Sales Order Index in SCM, you must manually reingest the indexes after upgrade to uptake new features in that release.

Note that the automated reingestion will only reingest if new attributes are added to an index. Automated ingestion process is nondestructive and runs in the background while existing indexes are available.

Automated reingest runs on any upgraded pod that already had the index. This applies to both prod and nonprod environments.
