Set Up Oracle Search for Supply Chain Planning

Unlike other Supply Chain Planning indexes, the fa-scm-msc-plan-members and fa-scm-msc-supplies-demands indexes are system-managed and are created through plan execution.

Note: Do not use these two indexes as an input to the ESS job to create index definition and perform initial ingest to OSCS scheduled process.
To create the fa-scm-msc-plan-members and fa-scm-msc-supplies-demandsindexes:
  1. Create or identify the supply plan or the replenishment plan for which you want to create the index.
  2. Run the supply plan or replenishment plan.

When you run the plan for the first time, the fa-scm-msc-plan-members and fa-scm-msc-supplies-demands search indexes are automatically created and populated for that plan. The search index name includes an internal plan identifier (<ID>), which uniquely identifies the plan.

As a result, each plan has its own instance of the fa-scm-msc-plan-members and fa-scm-msc-supplies-demands indexes.

  3. Run the Delete Plan scheduled process periodically to delete any unused plans.
At any time, the maximum number of total active plans (of all types) for search in your environment is currently limited to 100. Also, the maximum number of total active supply and replenishment plans together is 50.
