Create a Guided Journey
Here's how you can create a guided journey.
Navigation: Navigator > Setup and Maintenance > Tasks > Search > Checklist Templates

Click Create and enter the checklist details.
Field Description Category Select the guided journey category. Example: Guided Journey Name Enter the guided journey name. Code Enter the checklist code. Archive After Months Number of months after which the checklist needs to be archived. Purge After Months Number of months after which the checklist can be purged. - Click Create Draft to save the checklist and click Tasks.
- Click + to create a new task.

In the Overview pane, add the following information:
Field Description Task Name Enter the task name. Task Description Enter the task description. Status Set the task status as active. Sequence Enter the task sequence. Code Enter a task code. Make this task mandatory Select yes to make this a mandatory task. Add instructions for this task Add all the information needed to perform the task. Performer Select the performer from the list. If the performer type is Area of Responsibility, then, select the Performer Responsibility Type from the list. If the performer type is Specific Person, enter the performer name.
Owner Select the owner from the list. If the owner type is Area of Responsibility, then, select the Owner Responsibility Type from the list. If the owner type is Specific Person, enter the owner name.
Task Type Select the type of task. Task URL Enter the URL. Duration Enter the duration for the availability of the guided journey. Time Unit Select the time unit which could be days, weeks, or months. When does the task expire? Select when the task should get over After assigned date or After due date. After how many days? Enter the number of days after which the task should get over. Comments and attachment Enable entering comments or uploading attachments here. -
In the Advanced pane, add the following information:
Field Description Offset Days Enter the number of offset days. Preceding Task Select the preceding task. Display Preceding Task Select Yes or No to display the preceding task. Activation Criteria Specify the activation criteria. Delay Duration Enter the delay duration value. Time Unit Select the time unit which could be days, month, or weeks. Evaluate task performer and owner when task is initiated Select Yes or No to evaluate the task performer and owner when the task is initiated. Guided Journey Select the guided journey from the list. Journey Tasks Enter the duration for the availability of the guided journey. Rename Action Labels Rename the action labels for Done, Not applicable, Add to Calendar, Save as Draft, Go to website, View Preceding Task as needed. Configure Criteria Add any configure criteria if applicable. -
In the Notifications pane, set the notification
overrides and the reminders:
Field Description Notification Overrides Set the notification overrides for the performer and the owner for: - When task is assigned or reassigned
- When task is completed
- When task is deleted
- When task is updated
- When task is force closed
- When task is marked as not applicable.
- When task expires
Reminders Remind in Days Set the number of days after which to send reminder. Times to Remind Enter the number of times to send reminders. When to send reminder? Specify when to send reminders. Content Type Select the template type to send the reminder. If you select the default content type, the deafult alert message is selected automatically. Reminder Template Select the reminder template for the alert types user-defined content and user defined content -
In the Display Settings pane, set the show or hide
settings for performer, owner, line manager and other user, for the following
task properties:
- Add to Calendar
- Attachments
- Comments
- Contact Info
- Edit a task
- Edit a task due date
- Guided Journey
- Make attachments required
- Make comments required
- Mark a task as complete in both Task Page and Notification
- Mark a task as Not applicable in both Task Page and Notification
- Mark complete and Not applicable only in notification
- Save the task.

To test the guided journey you 've just assigned, go to the employee
self-service page and click the tile you want.
Navigation: Me > PayThe guided journey for the selected tile appears.
