Extract Configuration Groups

Extract configuration groups interface is used to create unique extract configuration groups with custom parameters and feature settings related to logging and performance.

To access this interface:

  1. Go to Navigator > My Client Groups > Data Exchange

  2. In the Data Exchange work area, select Extract Configuration Groups

Creating a new Extract Configuration Group

  1. On the Extract Configuration Groups, you'll find a list of pre-seeded extract configuration groups with default parameter values.
  2. To create a new extract configuration group, select a suitable pre-seeded extract, click the Actions overflow menu at the end of the record.
  3. Click Copy.
  4. Enter a name for your custom extract configuration group and click OK.
  5. The newly created configuration group will be available among the existing ones.
  6. You can sort the list by Last Saved or by Name in ascending order and search to find extract configuration groups by name.

Editing the new Extract Configuration Group

To create a unique extract configuration group tailored to your requirements, customize the newly created configuration group as follows:

  1. Click on the newly created extract configuration group to launch the Edit Configuration Group page.
  2. Review the Default Value for the various attributes in the Parameters and Features sections and provide Override Value if you want to change the default setting.

  3. Click Validate to check for errors and update the values accordingly.
  4. Click Save and Close.
Once you create your new Extract Configuration Group, it'll automatically appear in the following drop downs:
  • Configuration Groups in the Payroll Process Configuration page
    • Navigate to Home > My Client Groups > Show More > Payroll Process Configuration task
  • Process Configuration Group in the Submit Extract Instance page
    • Navigate to Home > My Client Groups > Data Exchange > Submit Extracts task

Export Extract Configuration Groups

To bulk-export your custom extract configuration groups as an XML file:
  • Click Export to launch Select Extract Configuration Group page.
  • Select the required user created extract configuration groups from the list.
  • Click Add.
  • Click on Download on the confirmation message to access the XML file.

Import Extract Configuration Groups

To bulk-import custom extract configuration groups XML file to the page:
  • Click Import to launch Import Configuration Group page.
  • Click Browse to select the XML file.
  • Click OK.
    Note: If an existing configuration group is found you may choose to overwrite using the new XML file or keep the existing configuration. You can also download the log file to review the details of the import.
  • Click on OK on the confirmation message.
  • Refresh the page to see the imported configuration groups listed on the page.
