Demographic Information for a Person

You can use the Demographic Info section on the Personal Details page to view and maintain a person’s demographic and legislative reporting information.

Depending on the legislation and configuration, this information can include details such as marital status, gender, highest education level, religion, ethnicity, veteran status, and other country-specific attributes.

Religion and ethnicity can appear in the Demographic Info section where applicable, but they can have separate security, masking, localization, and reporting behavior. The fields a user can see or update can depend on role privileges, page configuration, and legislation.

Demographic information is maintained for a demographic reporting context. A person can have demographic information for more than one country. For example, after a global transfer or when information is required for more than one reporting context.

Country for Demographic Reporting

The Country for Demographic Reporting field identifies the country context for the Demographic Info row. It isn’t the person’s citizenship, home address, or work location by itself.

If approvals are enabled, approval notifications for demographic changes can include the Country for Demographic Reporting value. This helps approvers in identifying which demographic reporting record is being changed when the person has demographic information for multiple countries.
