Manage the Display of Quick Actions in Activity Centers

You can show, hide, or reorder quick actions or quick action groups in My Activity Center, Team Activity Center and HCM Professional Activity Center, using the Structure tool. Any changes that you make will also reflect on the home page and throughout the HCM application, as applicable.

Changes made to the My Team menu group will reflect in Team Activity Center and changes made to the Me menu group will reflect in My Activity Center. However, only those quick actions that are in the Redwood experience display in activity centers

You can also enable a default set of pinned quick actions for all users at an organization level. If users haven't set any pinned quick actions on their own, these will be set as their default pins. You can select separate sets of pins for My Activity Center, Team Activity Center, and HCM Professional Activity Center.

Note: A quick action that’s made visible will display on the landing page of My Activity Center or Person Activity Center only if it’s pinned. If it’s not pinned, it'll be visible on the Quick actions drawer panel on selecting the View More link.
  1. On the navigator, go to Configuration > Sandboxes.
  2. Create a sandbox or enter into an existing one. Make sure the sandbox has the Structure tool added to it.
  3. From the sandbox Tools menu, select Structure.
  4. Select the name of a menu group, for example, Me or My Team.
  5. On the Edit Group page, select the Quick Actions tab.
  6. Make changes to a quick action group, for example Journeys:
    1. Show or hide: Select Journeys, and select Yes or No from the Visible list. If you hide a quick action group, the group name and its quick actions won’t appear on the home page or in the corresponding activity center.
    2. Reorder: Use the Move Up or Move Down icons next to the quick action group.
  7. Make changes to a quick action, for example Team Journeys:
    1. Expand the Journeys quick action group name. The list of quick actions will display below this group name.
    2. Show or hide: Select the Team Journeys quick action, and select an option from the Visible list.
Note: If you select EL Expression, the evaluation of the EL expression decides whether the quick action will be visible for specific user roles. Select the Edit icon next to the list, and enter an expression without line breaks or double quotes. Validate the EL expression and make sure it evaluates to true or false.
    3. Pin quick action for all users: Select the Show as quick action link on home checkbox.
    4. Reorder: Expand the name of the quick action group and use the Move Up or Move Down icons next to the quick action.
  8. Save your changes and publish the sandbox.
