Enable the Redwood Payslip Report Template in your Custom Folder
When you enable the Redwood Payslip template profile option, the payslip process uses the Redwood Payslip template.
If an existing customization exists, the BI Publisher resolves templates from the Custom folder.
If the Redwood Payslip Template isn’t available in the Custom folder of the BI Publisher and the profile option is enabled (and an existing customization exists), the Payslip process fails.
The Redwood Payslip is generated using BI Publisher and is independent of the ORA_HCM_VBCS_PWA_ENABLED profile option.
- Ensure Redwood Payslip Template exists in your Custom folder.
- Create the custom Redwood payslip.
Ensure Redwood Payslip Template Exists in your Custom Folder
If you enable the Redwood Payslip profile option, ensure that the Redwood Payslip Template exists in the Custom folder.
Here’s how to navigate to the custom folder for a country:
- Sign in to the Oracle BI Publisher using an environment link or URL that ends with ‘xmlpserver’.
- Click Catalog to open BI analytics.
- Navigate to the custom folder for a country: /Shared Folders/Custom/Human Capital Management/Payroll/ Regulatory and Tax Reporting / Country Name folder.
For example, for Canada, you can find the custom Canada Payslip Report at: /Shared Folders/Custom/Human Capital Management/Payroll/Regulatory and Tax Reporting/Canada folder.
The Custom folder can contain multiple layouts. Ensure the correct Redwood template exists when the Redwood profile option is enabled.
Create the Custom Redwood Payslip
- Navigate to the seeded folder for a country: /Shared Folders/Human Capital Management/Payroll/ Regulatory and Tax Reporting / Country Name folder.
- Find the Payslip report and select More > Customize for the payslip report.
- Navigate to /Shared Folders/Custom/Human Capital Management/Payroll/ Regulatory and Tax Reporting/Country Name folder and check if you can see the report in the folder.
It is recommended that you save all user-defined or configured reports in the Custom catalog folder under Shared Folders. Any reports created outside of the Custom folder will not be migrated and will be lost during patching or upgrade.
If the Redwood Payslip profile option is disabled, the Payslip process uses the old payslip behavior, even if a Redwood template exists in the Custom folder.
When you customize a delivered payslip report, including the Redwood Payslip Template, the BI Publisher creates a copy of the report in a Customfolder. After customization, the report always runs from the Custom folder and doesn’t automatically receive updates made to the delivered report.
