4Create a user account

An HCM user account is required for the HCM Personalization tool to connect to your HCM environment and access Flex Fields related metadata, and other configuration data. Use this account to sign in to the HCM environment and not through your corporate SSO. This account invokes REST APIs. The tool doesn't access any application data, it only accesses Flex Fields setup data and configuration data such as lookups.

  1. Go to Security Console and either edit an existing account or create a new one.
  2. Assign the ORA_PER_EMPLOYEE_ABSTRACT role and save your changes.
  3. Go to your Oracle Fusion HCM environment and sign in with the updated or new user account.
