How do I create an OTBI analysis to fetch TopN/BottomN records?

In this video, you will learn how to create query that includes TopN and BottomN. To begin, create a new analysis.

Click Create.

Click Analysis.

Choose the Workforce Management – Worker Assignment Real Time.

In Select Subject Area, choose Workforce Management > Worker Assignment Real Time.

Now add columns to the report.

Select the following from Subject Areas:

Expand Business Unit.

Click Business Unit Name.

Expand Worker Assignment.

Click Head Count.

Add a filter to the Head Count column.

In the Head Count column click the Setup icon.

Click Filter.

In the New Filter dialog:

In the Operator field select is in top.

In the Value field select 5.

Click OK.

This shows the top 5 business units and their respective headcounts.

Click the Results tab.

Similarly, you could also find the ones that are in the bottom 5.

Click the Criteria Tab.

Click the name of the filter, then click the Edit Filter icon.

Change is in the top to is in the bottom.

Click OK.

Click the Results tab.

In this case, it gave me more than 5 results because multiple business units have the same head count.

Click Table Properties.

Click Content Paging.

Scroll through the list.
