Time: Manager review and approval

Introduction, title, and music.

In in this video, I’ll show you how managers can review and approve time.

I’m signed in as a manager and I want to make sure my team reported and submitted their time for the week.

I’ve got a couple notifications. One is an attestation for Tom Velez because he couldn’t take his entire meal break one day because I asked him to attend a meeting over lunch. Another one is a time change request for Skylar Finch. I’m not going to approve this change from here because I want to review her time card.

Click the Notifications icon.

I can click the Team Change Requests link to view any pending time change requests from my entire team. I can also click the Team Time Cards link to review my team’s time cards. First, I want to review Tom’s time card.

Click My Team.

Click Show More.

In the Time section, click Team Time Cards.

I can search for a time card by person name or number. By default, the time card period is filtered by the last two weeks. I can add or remove filters as needed to refine my search.

Click Tom’s time card.

Now I’ll take a look at Tom’s attestation.

In the View By field select Reported details by entry date.

Click Actions and select View Attestations.

Click to expand the details for Entry: Thursday.

Click Back.

He was credited for the meal he missed, so I’ll approve his time card.

In the View By field select Calculated Summary by earned date.

Highlight the Meal Credit.

Click Approve.

Now I’ll review Skylar’s change request.

Click Skylar’s time card.

Click the View Request link in the warning banner.

Skylar stayed late one night for a meeting. Her request looks good so I’ll approve it.

Click Approve.

Click Submit.

Now that her change request is approved, I can see her time was updated. Now I’ll approve her time card.

Highlight the updated time change for Thursday.

Click Approve.

I don’t have any more pending approvals, so I’m done for this week. Thanks for watching.
