What are HCM extracts?

Hello, my name is Ken. In this video, I’ll explain what are HCM extracts.

Are you ready to get started? Great.

HCM extracts is outbound integration functionality that can be used to extract and send data in file or report format to third-party applications.

And

You can use extract components to define what information you want the application to extract and report on.

It can be used in different modules (such as Core HCM, Payroll, and Benefits) based on your business requirements.

Using the built-in integration with Oracle BI Publisher, you can generate extracts in various formats such as CSV, XML, Microsoft Excel, HTML, RTF, and PDF.

Extracted information can be distributed by email, fax, and other delivery modes. Some common examples of extracts are:

PDF payslips delivered to employees’ mailboxes
And Payroll or benefit data transferred to third-party service providers

You can also integrate HCM extract with BI reports and templates so that data can be extracted as a PDF or Excel in BI Reports.

Output data can be encrypted and sent to different recipients based on output using the “bursting” feature (if required).
