Workforce Structures Profile Options

Use the Manage Administrator Profile Values task in the Setup and Maintenance work area to manage profile options. You can configure these workforce structure-related profile options as required, to meet your enterprise requirements:

ORA_POS_HIRING_STATUS_FILTER	ORA_POS_HIRING_STATUS_FILTER	N	Enable Position List of Values filtering based on Hiring Status. In pending worker pages, the position LOV isn't filtered, but instead an error message is shown if the user selects a position that isn't approved for hiring. The same validation also applies when using HCM Data Loader (HDL). The position filtering doesn't apply for nonworkers.
ORA_PER_POS_NUM_VALID_GRADES_ALLWD	Number of Valid Grades Allowed on a Position	0	Specify a number between 1 and 5 to restrict the number of valid grades allowed on a position. Select 0 to specify any number of valid grades.

Note:

Compact Search/NUMROWS Profile Options – For all the above listed Compact Search Profiles a scheduled process, "Optimize Workforce Structures LOV to Use Starts With" runs automatically on a daily basis. The process switches the search from 'contains' to 'starts with' for all large workforce structures LOVs when the row threshold is exceeded. The default for the threshold for the number of rows is 10,000. You can change the default value as per your requirements. You can set it to 0 if you don't want the application to change the LOV search. This is because the scheduled process won’t consider the profile option if the value is <= 0, or if it contains a non-numeric character.
