Create and Associate Sales Account and Partner Records

As an administrator, you can create sales accounts and partner accounts for a retailer.

Complete the following steps to create and associate a retailer sales account with the retailer partner record:

Note:

Set the ZCM_ACC_EXACT_NAME_MATCH profile option to TRUE before you create and associate a retailer sales account and associate it with partner record.

  1. Create sales account

  2. Create partner record and associating it with the sales record

  3. Create partner record contacts

  4. Create resource profile and a user account for the partner contact

Create Sales Account

To create the sales account:

  1. Go to Account and click Create Account.

  2. Define the sales account record and click Save and Close.

The sales account for the retailer has been created.

Create Partner Record and Associate it with Sales Record

To create the partner record:

  1. Go to Partners in Partner Management and click Create Partner.

  2. Provide the exact name and address for the partner record as provided for the sales account of the retailer and click Save and Continue.

  3. Select the sales account record from the Possible Duplicates list.

  4. Click Save and Close.

The partner record and the sales account of the retailer have been associated with each other.

Create the Partner Record Contacts

To add a contact to the partner record:

  1. Go to Partners in Partner Management and select the partner record you created.

  2. Go to the Contacts subtab and click Create Contact.

  3. Define the partner record and click Save and Close > Save and Close

The retailer partner record contact has been created.

Create Resource Profile and User Account

To create a resource role and user account:

  1. Go to Partners in Partner Management and select the partner record you created.

  2. Go to the Contacts subtab and select the contact record you want to create the resource role and user account for.

  3. Click Manage User Details.

  4. Define the user details and select the Create User Account check box.

  5. Click OK > Save and Close.

A resource profile and user account has been created for the retailer. An email containing the user account details will be mailed to the email ID provided.

The partner record and the sales account of the retailer have been created and associated.
