Replace Terms

As an administrator, you can replace your sales application with terms specific to consumer goods.

Note: Additionally, the Business Plan object was renamed with the ready to use name, Objective.

Replace Terms

Replace in User Interface Text, Multipart Validation Messages, and Global Menu Label Text:

Replace Terms in User Interface Text

Replace the following terms in the user interface text:

Singular	Budgets	Funds	Budgets	Funds	Indicates the label that displays when the user hovers over the MDF Budgets tab.
Singular	Create Budget	Create Fund	Create Budget	Create Fund	Indicates the label for the button on the MDF Budgets list to enable the creation of an MDF budget.
Singular	Delete Budget	Delete Fund	Delete Budget	Delete Fund	Indicates the label for the action that allows a user to delete a budget.
Singular	Requests	Fund Allocations	Requests	Fund Allocations	Indicates the label that displays when the user hovers over the MDF Requests tab.
Singular	Create Request	Create Allocation	Create Request	Create Allocation	Indicates the label of the button on the MDF Request list that allows the creation of an MDF Request.

Replace Terms in Global Menu Label Text

Replace the following terms in the global menu label text:

Term Type	Search For	Replace With	Search	Replace	Term Description
Singular	Budgets	Funds	Budgets	Funds	Navigator menu and springboard item that opens the Budgets work area, where users can manage MDF budget, request, and claim information. This work area is part of the Oracle Fusion Partner Relationship Management product.

How to Replace Terms

To replace Oracle CX Sales terms with Consumer Goods terms:

1. Ensure that you're in an active sandbox.

2. Navigate to User Interface Text in Tools.

3. Click Search and Replace on the User Interface Text page.

4. On the Search and Replace Text dialog box, provide the following information:

   1. Select the language in which you want to replace the term.

   2. For changes applicable to User Interface Text, Multipart Validation Messages, and Global Menu Label Text, complete the following steps:

      1. For the Search For and Replace With fields, provide the information as mentioned in the Replacing Terms in User Interface Text, Multipart Validation Messages, and Global Menu Label Text.

      2. For the Match Case and the Match Complete Word or Phrase fields, select the Match Case field.

      3. In the Included in Search area, select

         • User Interface Text

         • Multipart Validation Messages

         • Global Menu Label Text

   3. For changes only applicable to User Interface Text, complete the following steps:

      1. For the Search For and Replace With fields, provide the information mentioned in the Replacing Terms Only in User Interface Text section.

      2. For the Match Case and the Match Complete Word or Phrase fields, select both options.

      3. In the Included in Search area, select User Interface Text.

   4. For changes only applicable to Global Menu Label Text, complete the following steps:

      1. For the Search For and Replace With fields, provide the information mentioned in the Replacing Terms in Global Menu Label Text section.

      2. For the Match Case and the Match Complete Word or Phrase fields, select both options.

      3. In the Included in Search area, select Global Menu Label Text.

   5. Click Preview Changes.

5. On the User Interface Text page, complete the following steps:

   1. For changes applicable to User Interface Text, Multipart Validation Messages, and Global Menu Label Text, complete the following steps:

      1. Navigate to the following tabs and review the instances of the terms to replace:

         • User Interface Text

         • Global Menu Label Text

         • Messages

      2. Don't deselect the Exclude check box for any of the instances of the terms being replaced.

   2. For changes applicable to User Interface Text or to Global Menu Label Text, complete the following steps:

      Note: Use the descriptions provided for each term to locate terms which are replaced and excluded.

      1. Use the Search and Replace fields to locate and review the instances of the terms to replace.

      2. Select the Exclude check box for all the instances of the term which must not be replaced.

6. Click Save and Close.

7. Publish the sandbox.

The required Oracle CX Sales terms have been replaced with Consumer Goods terms.
