Set Up User and Role Synchronization from Oracle CX Sales to Oracle Identity Cloud Service

Setting up user and role synchronization from Oracle CX Sales to Oracle Identity Cloud Service involves two steps.

Following are the steps:

  1. User, role, and role-membership synchronization setup and execution.

  2. Verifying synchronization result.

User, Role, and Role-Membership Synchronization Setup and Execution

Following are the steps required for user, role, and role-membership synchronization setup and initiation using the Oracle Identity Cloud Service Fusion Applications-Connector:

  1. Sign into the appropriate Oracle Identity Cloud Service Admin Console using Administrator role.

  2. Create new sync app and proceed using the following steps.

    Note:

    In case, the app already exists and the fusion applications is refreshed, then verify the details and if required, change the password.

  3. On the Oracle Identity Cloud Service Applications page, click Add to add a new application.

  4. In the Add Application window, select App Catalog.

  5. Search for Oracle Fusion Application Release 13 template and add the template.

  6. Provide an appropriate name for the application.

  7. Provide tenancy details such as Tenant Name and Domain Name.

  8. Click Next and navigate to the next page.

  9. For Entity ID field, enter a unique entity ID value and navigate to the next page.

  10. Enable Provisioning using toggle button.

  11. Enable the Authoritative Sync check box.

  12. Enable Synchronization using toggle button.

  13. Set the frequency as Never corresponding to the Synchronization schedule field.

  14. Activate the application created in step 6.

  15. Sign into the Oracle Fusion application to perform setup activities after predefined roles and users are available in the Oracle Fusion application.

    1. Sign into the Oracle CX Sales using Administrator role and navigate to the Scheduled Processes page.

    2. Click Schedule New Process.

      Schedule New Process window opens.

    3. For Type, select Job.

    4. Specify Name as Import User and Role Application Security Data.

    5. Click Submit to submit the job.

    6. Navigate to the Schedule New Process window and submit another job.

    7. For Type, select Job.

    8. Specify Name as Retrieve Latest LDAP Changes.

    9. In the Process Details section, click Submit.

    10. In the list of processes, view, verify, and ensure that both Retrieve Latest LDAP Changes and Import User and Role Application Security Data processes run to completion.

  16. Switch back to Oracle Identity Cloud Service.

    Navigate to Oracle CX Sales in the Oracle Identity Cloud Service Application List page.

  17. Corresponding to Oracle CX Sales, click Import tab to view import status.

  18. Click Refresh and verify to ensure that Last Import is indicated as Succeeded.

  19. Click Provisioning tab.

  20. Enable Synchronization using toggle button.

  21. In the Configure Synchronization section, set Synchronization schedule to Every Hour.

  22. Click Save.
