Add Fixed and Variable Tactics to Promotions
As a sales manager and account manager, you can design your promotions with multiple fixed and variable tactics.
Fixed Tactics
When you promote a product you incur a cost to advertise your promotion. These include costs incurred on signboards, brochures, fliers, and discount coupons. As an account manager, you can set multiple fixed tactics for each promoted group or promoted product to make account promotions more effective. You can optionally specify these costs in these categories when creating a promotion:

Advertising: Cost of advertisements on print or electronic media.

Merchandising: Costs incurred on display techniques and free samples.

Catalog: Cost incurred on promotional products such as fliers and brochures.

Space: Cost incurred on preferred location and space.
Add Fixed Tactics to Promotions
To add fixed tactics to promotions:

Select promotion icon and select the promotion product or promotion group subtab depending at which level you want to assign the tactic values.

Select the tactic type as Fixed.

Enter the values for fields such as Tactic and Amount.

Click Save and Close.
Add Variable Tactics to Promotions
You can make your promotions effective by setting up multiple variable tactics. Variable tactics are available in the form of discounts. It's the price incurred on promotions from providing different discount methods.
To add variable tactics to promotion:

Select Promotions and click a promotion.

Click Promotion Group or Promotion Product subtab depending at which level you want to assign the tactic values.

Select the tactic type as Variable.

Select the Discount Method and accordingly the related fields become active. Enter the values for the fields.

Click Save and Close.
