B2C Service Connections
The Oracle B2C Service connection in Intelligent Advisor Hub is used to communicate between Intelligent Advisor and Oracle B2C Service. Through the Oracle B2C Service connection:
- metadata is retrieved from Oracle B2C Service, and
- data is loaded and saved by deployed Intelligent Advisor interviews.
Intelligent Advisor and B2C Service sites on the same subscription are connected automatically when provisioned together. Alternatively, Intelligent Advisor and B2C Service can be connected manually via the self service Configuration Assistant. For more information, see Integrate Intelligent Advisor with a B2C Service Site. If you cannot connect your B2C Service and Intelligent Advisor sites using the Configuration Assistant, contact Oracle Support.
For projects first connected to a version of B2C Service prior to August 2017, you have the option when choosing the B2C Service connection for the project to use the B2C Service connector’s legacy mode. Legacy mode preserves the existing behavior for data loaded and saved from B2C Service. (Note that this version has a date issue where the attributes mapped to a date field can potentially be moved forward or backwards by one day depending on the time zone.) Legacy connector mode uses version 1.2 of the B2C Service Connect Web Services API. Non-legacy mode uses version 1.4 of the Connect Web Services API which makes available more B2C Service objects. This also avoids the date issue present in legacy mode.
When a B2C Service connection is established between Intelligent Advisor Hub and a B2C Service site, if:
- the Default Collection is still the only workspace, and
- there are no other connections, then
the B2C Service connection is placed into the Default Collection.
