Connector Framework Web Service Connections
Connector framework web service connections provide a connection between a specific application (other than B2C Service), and Intelligent Advisor Hub via a web service connector. The Intelligent Advisor Connector Framework is used to create the web service connectors that are application specific. Mapping to the data model of these connections is performed inside Policy Modeling, using downloaded application metadata. Pre-defined web service connectors are available for Oracle Fusion, Siebel and some other Oracle applications. Typically each web service connector interacts with a single application.
When a policy model containing specific application mapping information is deployed, the application's data is loaded and saved via the web service connection, according to the mapping defined in the policy model. That is:
- At the start, Intelligent Advisor calls a web service connector Load action to request mapped-in data
- At the end, Intelligent Advisor calls a web service connector Save action to store mapped-out data and determined results, and
- Intelligent Advisor can display data returned from a web service connector Save action on interview screens after Submit. For more information, see Load Data After Submitting an Interview and Return the Additional Load After Submit Data.
To create a connector framework web service connection, see Connect to a Specific External Application.
