Generic Provider Connections

A generic provider connection is a web service connection that is not specific to any application. These connections use the Intelligent Advisor Generic Integration Protocol. Mapping for these connections is performed outside Policy Modeling, in either Oracle Integration, or a custom integration solution that can support registering and mapping the required generic integration protocol operation endpoints.

When a policy model containing generic integration protocol mapping information is deployed, Intelligent Advisor Hub examines the mapping and checkpoint information and publishes new operation information (load, query, save, set_checkpoint and get_checkpoint) via the REST API.

A generic integration protocol endpoint provider implements each of these operation endpoints, which must then be registered for particular Intelligent Advisor Hub operation versions.
