Troubleshoot Using the Message Log In Intelligent Advisor Hub

The Message log in Intelligent Advisor Hub displays a list of errors from interviews and connections, determinations API calls, and Oracle Policy Modeling communications. It is limited to 10,000 entries and any entries older than 30 days are automatically deleted. The message log uses the timezone of the browser. Only Connections administrators can access the message log.

Tip: You can also get this information via REST API. For more information, see Get Message Logs.

To view the Message log:

  1. In Intelligent Advisor Hub, click the user menu at the top right of the screen.
  2. Select View message log.  The Message log page is displayed. For each message, the following information is displayed:

    • Id
    • Date
    • Code
    • Message

Tip: Rather than viewing every single message, you may wish to view only messages relating to a particular component, or containing a particular error code or text string. To do this, enter a search term in the search field on the Message log page.

Note: If the message log is being filled up with data validation errors (OPA-VAL-001), you can turn off the logging of these types of messages using a setting in the Hub. (For more information, see Errors From Data Adaptors.) This setting directly sets a corresponding configuration property, db_message_log_filter, which can also be used to specify other error codes to filter out from inclusion in the Message Log. This property is configurable for self-managed Intelligent Advisor users. (For more information, see Intelligent Advisor Hub Configuration Properties.) Cloud Service users should contact Oracle Cloud support if they want to filter out codes other than OPA-VAL-001.
