Handle Errors When Loading Or Saving Application Data

If a web service connector experiences an internal error while processing a Load or Save request, it may respond to the request with a RequestFault. The RequestFault will appear in the Message log in Intelligent Advisor Hub in the following format:

Error for policy model [Deployment Name]:[Deployment Version] via Connection: [Connection Name]
Failed to load data from data service.
Fault code: [Fault code]
Fault String: [Title of fault]
Message: [More details]

In this format:

  • The Fault code is typically "Server" because that is where the fault occurred.
  • The Fault String has a short title describing the nature of the error.
  • The Message contains more information about the cause of the error which the developer chooses to share. The message should not contain sensitive information.
