Interactive Intelligent Advisor Hub Users
Intelligent Advisor Hub interactive user accounts are needed for:
- Creating and deploying web-authored projects
- Uploading policy models to Intelligent Advisor Hub
- Deploying policy models
- Administering other users and modifying user permissions
Customers and partners do not need to be Hub users to access and interact with an Intelligent Advisor interview. They can be either:
- Agents or Contacts that have been authenticated by Oracle B2C Service,
- Authenticated users that are verified by a web service connector,
- Anonymous users. Note that allowing anonymous access to Intelligent Advisor interviews requires careful security planning. See Secure an Intelligent Advisor Interview for details.
User accounts are added and edited in Intelligent Advisor Hub by the Permissions administrator. Roles control what users can do. The following roles can be assigned to user accounts:
- Permissions administrator - manages permissions (users, roles and workspaces) and has access to audit logs
- Connections administrator - manages connections and has access to service usage metrics and message logs
- Viewer - views and downloads projects
- Author - modifies, views and downloads projects
- Manager - manages deployment versions and decision service projects
For more information, see Add an Interactive Hub User.
Note: An interactive user called "author" is created by default in new Intelligent Advisor Hubs. This user has the roles of Author and Manager and is intended as a template for adding new named users who need to connect to Intelligent Advisor Hub from within Policy Modeling and perform the relevant actions of the Author and Manager roles.
Project administrators need to carefully consider which users are authorized to access Intelligent Advisor Hub to view and modify projects. They also control to whom deployed projects are available, and via what channels. Intelligent Advisor projects can be deployed as interactive interviews, web services and for chat services. Each deployment channel requires consideration from a security perspective.
Tip: The Intelligent Advisor Hub REST API can also be used to automate the creation, management and deletion of users. For more information, see Manage Users.
