Design Intelligent Advisor Interviews for Oracle B2C Service

The process for creating an Intelligent Advisor interview in Oracle B2C Service is as follows:

  1. Ensure the Connections administrator has set up a connection to Oracle B2C Service. For more information, see B2C Service Connections.
  2. Choose the B2C Service connection for your project in Policy Modeling. Note that:
    • Legacy mode is used by default for projects that were first connected to a version of B2C Service earlier than August 2017. To instead use non-legacy mode, deselect the Use legacy (pre-17D) connector mode check box in the Choose Connection dialog. To understand the difference between the two versions, see B2C Service Connections. When switching from legacy to non-legacy mode, you will need to remove any date issue workaround fixes from your existing policy model and redeploy it.
  3. Map the data in the policy model to the appropriate objects and fields in Oracle B2C Service. For more information, see:
  4. Create screens for collecting data in the interview. For more information, see Create a Screen. Note that:
    • If the interview requires saving to Oracle B2C Service and has output data mappings, one of the screens needs to have a Submit button. Note that you can have multiple Submit screens defined in an interview, however, you must make sure only one Submit screen is shown on any path through the interview.
    • You can define interview specific behavior for each audience (Agent, Contact and Anonymous). For more information, see Customize multi-channel interviews for different audiences.
    • You can apply a Redwood theme to the interview for interviews embedded within the latest Fusion agent user interface to provide employees with a consistently styled experience.
  5. Deploy and activate the project from Policy Modeling (or deploy it from Policy Modeling and activate it from Intelligent Advisor Hub).
  6. Depending on how you want the interview deployed you can:
  7. Run the interview. For more information, see Test an Activated Interview.
  8. Fix any errors encountered while running the interview. For more information, see Troubleshoot Oracle B2C Service interviews.

Tip: Oracle B2C Service interviews are demonstrated in the B2C Service Simple, Insurance Picker, Student Benefits and Travel Compensation example projects that are installed with Policy Modeling.
