B2C Service Data Mapping
Data mapping enables you to pre-seed data in an Intelligent Advisor interview from Oracle B2C Service and to save outcomes from the interview to B2C Service. To do this, data in Intelligent Advisor needs to be mapped to corresponding B2C Service objects and fields.
Data mapping is done at three levels, and in this order:
- Mapping the Global entity in Intelligent Advisor to the equivalent objects in B2C Service. The global entity instance in Intelligent Advisor can be bound to a maximum of three objects in B2C Service:
- the user context
- an additional top-level input
- a top-level output
- Mapping the non-global entities in Intelligent Advisor to the equivalent objects in B2C Service. This also binds the relationship (or the link between the objects) in B2C Service to the Intelligent Advisor containment relationship. Note that the mapping of reference relationships is not currently supported for B2C Service connections.
- Input mapping and output mapping individual attributes in Intelligent Advisor to fields in the objects of B2C Service.
The diagram below shows how Intelligent Advisor entities and attributes could be mapped to objects and fields in B2C Service.
Note that the following prerequisites must be met before you can set up data mappings for your Intelligent Advisor interview via a B2C Service connection:
- The integration prerequisites for B2C Service have been met.
- The latest version of Policy Modeling is installed.
- The project uses an Oracle B2C Service connection.
Tip: The B2C Service Simple, Insurance Picker and Student Benefits example policy models that are installed with Policy Modeling demonstrate connecting a policy model to B2C Service via a B2C Service connection.
