Choose a Connector Framework Web Service Connection for a Project

When you want Intelligent Advisor to load and save data to a specific application, Policy Modeling must be connected to Intelligent Advisor Hub via a connector framework web service connection. In other words, Policy Modeling receives data model information from Intelligent Advisor Hub which in turn receives the data model information from the connected application. There is no direct connection between Policy Modeling and the application storing the data; all interactions are via an Intelligent Advisor Hub.

After you have specified in Policy Modeling that the mapping type for a project is to load or save to Oracle Fusion, B2C Service, Siebel or another specific application, you will be prompted to choose a connection for the project. In the Choose Connection dialog:

  1. Select the connection that is available in your Hub that you want to work with. Note that you can only choose a connection that is associated with workspaces in which you have the Author role.
  2. Click OK. The Mapping Settings dialog box displays. You are now ready to commence data mapping your project.

To change a connection for a project:

  1. On the Data tab in Policy Modeling, click the Mapping settings button.
  2. In the Mapping Settings dialog box, click the change link next to the Connection type indicator.
  3. Select the connection you wish to use.

  4. Click OK to save your change and exit the Choose Connection dialog box.
  5. Click OK to exit the Mapping Settings dialog box.
