Change the Appearance of Entity Controls
The appearance of entity controls can be modified in numerous ways. The changes apply to both entity collect controls and entity container controls.
The following changes can be made:
- Change the background colors of entity controls
- Change the button text for the add and remove entity instance buttons
- Change the style and position of the add and remove entity buttons
- Change the number of static blank entity instances
- Change the layout from portrait to tabular for entity collects and entity containers
- Change the style of the table heading in a tabular entity control
- Change the text of the table header in a tabular entity control

Change the color of entity controls
Entity controls are displayed in rows. The background colors of the alternating rows can be configured as required. To do this:
- On the Interview tab, click the Styles button.
- In the Styles dialog box, select the Styling tab.
- In the Controls section, in the entity table click on the appropriate row setting (Odd or Even).
- In the pop-up window:
- Click in the left hand side of the field and enter a new hex color code, or
- Click in the right hand side of the field and in the Color dialog select a new color. Click OK
- Click OK.
Change the style of the table heading in a tabular entity control
To change the style of the table heading in a tabular entity control:
- On the Interview tab, click the Styles button.
- In the Styles dialog box, select the Styling tab.
- In the Controls section, in the entity table click on the Heading text.
- In the pop-up window, change the style settings as required. The following heading row text style changes are supported:
- Font (family)
- Font size (note that in the font Size field you can type in a specific font point size, for example, 8px)
- Bold text
- Italic text
- Text color
- Background color
- Click OK.
Note: The table header in a tabular entity control is hidden when there are no rows in the table (except for when the add button is in the top right position as it is part of the header).
