Organize an Interview Into Stages

Interviews can be organized into groups of screens called stages. This can be useful when you have a large number of screens and want to categorize these into sections. This helps to give the user a visual sense of their progress through the interview. The stages are displayed at the top of an interview, or at the side of an interview, with the stage you are currently in selected. You can click on a previously visited stage to access the screens in that stage. If the interview allows free navigation, you can also click on a future stage to access the screens in that stage.

The navigation strip can also be shown at either the top or left side of the interview, or hidden completely. For more information, see Configure the Navigation Strip.

Rename an interview stage

Stage names should be descriptive of the logical group or purpose of screens contained in that stage.

By default, stages are titled 'Stage 1', 'Stage 2', 'Stage 3' and so on. To change the name of a stage:

  1. Select the stage title in the screen list and click it once to make it an editable field.
