Design an RTF Template for a Form

A form in an interview is generated from the associated form template. To design an RTF form template you need to have added a new form, or imported an existing form, to your project. The template file can then be opened for editing from within Policy Modeling. Alternatively, you can open the template file from the /FormTemplates/<locale> folder for the project.

The RTF form template is edited in Microsoft Word using the Oracle Analytics Publisher Template Builder. The Template Builder is a tool that simplifies the development of RTF form templates.

Note: If you cannot see the Publisher ribbon in your Microsoft Word document after you open it from Policy Modeling, you need to install Analytics Publisher Desktop. For more information, see Download Analytics Publisher.

An RTF form template can include normal Word components such as text and images, as well as data collected or inferred during the interview such as attributes and attribute values, explanations, signatures, conditional text, tables, charts and barcodes.

Forms that are generated from RTF form templates can be created as PDF (default), Excel, HTML, RTF (rich text format) or XML files. For more information, see Specify the File Type for a Form.

Tip: RTF form templates are demonstrated in the Healthy Eating, Insurance Picker, Know Your Customer, myBenefits, My Store App, Parental Leave Calculator and Safety Inspection example projects installed with Policy Modeling.
