Prepare the RTF Form Template

In order to design an RTF form template, you firstly need to load data into the Oracle Analytics Publisher Template Builder in Word. The simplest way to do this is to load the sample Extensible Markup Language (XML) data file for the form. To do this:

  1. Open your template file in Word.
  2. On the Publisher ribbon, select Sample XML.

  3. In the dialog box, select the sample XML data file for the project. Each form in a project has a separate sample XML data file (because different forms can be associated with different entities). These files are located in the /FormTemplates/<locale> folder for the project and are named <form name>_Template_Sample.xml. You will be notified when this data has been loaded successfully.
  4. Click OK.

When a correct sample data file has been loaded, you can determine the entity of the form by looking at the starting folder in the Field dialog. For example, for a form template that is associated with 'the child' entity:
