Save a Generated Form to a Connected Application
You can design an interview to save a generated form to a connected application. This is possible whether or not the interview user clicks a form link to generate their own copy of the form. (Note that generated forms are not attached to checkpoints.)
This feature is useful where:
- the business process around your policy model requires a record of the interview data and outcomes to be saved as a document, for example an application form, or a record of customer interaction for a customer file.
- there is a need to save a copy of an explanation recording the reasoning behind key policy model conclusions, for example, to support detailed future auditing of the relevant decision or recommendation.
To save a generated form to a connected application, follow the steps in Enable the Uploading of a Generated Form.
Tip: You can also save files uploaded by the interview user along with the generated form. This might be useful where a claimant or customer is required to provide documentary evidence along with a filled-in application form. The same Submit button can trigger both the form save and the file upload. For more information, see Attach Documents to Interviews.
