Image Buttons

Image buttons use images to depict the choice that the button represents.

Image buttons in an interview for a value list

Note: Image buttons are only available in Latest Version interviews.

Image buttons can be used for all attribute types but must be used with a value list.

You can choose separate images to represent the selected and not selected states of each button. To specify the images to use for the buttons:

  1. Right-click the image button input in the screen layout view and select Edit value list.

The Edit Value List dialog is displayed.
  2. For each value in the value list, click in the Images cell. In the drop-down window:
    1. Select the image you want to add for the Unchecked image. To do this, either:
      • click the Browse button to browse to the location of the image file, or
      • (for an image stored on a server) type or paste the URL of the image into the Select Image field.
    2. (Optional) Select the image you want to add for the Checked image.

Note that if a checked image is not provided, then the checked state will be indicated in an interview with a check mark overlaid on the unchecked image.
    3. Click anywhere in the Edit Value List dialog to close the Images drop-down window. The Images cell shows a green flag when both unchecked and checked images have been provided for that value.
