Interview Tab

The Interview view in the Debugger has two panes.

The left hand pane shows the list of screens and controls in the interview as defined in Policy Modeling. At a glance you can see the current state of the interview. That is:

• Any screen or control that is currently hidden is shown as grayed out in the list.
• Any control that is relevant to the goal is shown with a green tick in the list.
• Any screen that contains an attribute that is relevant to the goal, but that has not been defined on a screen in Policy Modeling, is shown with a warning symbol to indicate that it is an automatic screen.
• A submit screen is shown with a save icon.

Hovering over any screen or control in the left hand pane will reveal a Details button to the right. Clicking this button accesses additional details about the screen or control such as information about its visibility and relevance.

In the Details window, you can click on:

• the value link or relevance link to display the Decision view for that attribute
• a form link to display that form
• a Why? link to display the Decision view for the attribute used to control when the form is attached
• a signature link to display the signature image file

Also, in this window, hovering over the document or pen icon displays the file type, file name and entity for the attachment.

The right hand pane of the Interview view shows the screen that is selected in the left hand pane. Data can be entered on the screens and the screens moved through just as you would in a deployed interview. Interview screens must be submitted before those values will be visible on the Data and Decision tabs, unless the Debug unsubmitted interview values checkbox is selected.

When the Debug unsubmitted interview values checkbox is selected, the following components will reflect any values entered, but not necessarily submitted, on the current interview screen in the right hand pane of the Interview tab:

• screens and controls shown in the left hand pane
• information shown in the Details window in the left hand pane
• a form generated from the form link in the Details window where the form is attached to a Submit button on the current screen
