Fields and views

The functions in the Contact Administration area in Eloqua allow users with access to create or edit fields or views for contacts or accounts. You can define the fields of data tracked for each contact in your system and manage the views that you use to see contacts and view reports on contact activity. You can also create contact fields, including custom (non-standard) fields that optimize your Eloqua implementation.

Field: A field is the field of data associated with your data entities (contacts or accounts).

View: A view is the pre-configured way in which users (agents) in your Eloqua implementation can see the data associated with data entities.
