Enabling visitors to opt in or opt out

You can enable your end users to opt in or opt out of Oracle Maxymiser experience optimization by implementing the following:

  • Maxymiser cookie: Set the visitor's status using the following cookies when you get their consent for website experience optimization:
    • Function: Add the following function to your code.

      Note: This code requires mmapi.js v.1.10 or higher.

    • Opt-in: Set the cookie using the following code when the visitor opts-in.

      mmcampaigns.optIn()

    • Opt-out: Set the cookie using the following code when the visitor opts-out.

      mmcampaigns.optOut()

  • Web Monitoring Opt-Out page: Provide your end-users with a link to the following page where they can find out more information and opt-in or out of Oracle Maxymiser tracking and targeting for all clients: https://www.oracle.com/marketingcloud/opt-status.html

Important: If the visitor resets their cookies, they will also clear these opt-in and opt-out settings.
