Creating an Integration Record for the OpenAir Integration

The following steps describe how to create an integration record for OpenAir. All external applications that use token-based authentication to send SOAP web services requests to your NetSuite account are represented by one or more integration records. You can use integration records to manage applications, view activity logs, and more.

Note:

You do not need to create an integration record for the OpenAir integration if you are using the Direct Token-Based Authentication feature. When this feature is enabled, the NetSuite <> OpenAir integration uses an integration record that is added automatically by the latest version of the NetSuite OpenAir SRP Integration (Bundle ID 369637) bundle and has the name “Internal NS Application OPENAIR”. See Direct Token-Based Authentication.

To create an integration record for the OpenAir integration in NetSuite:

  1. Log in to NetSuite as an account administrator or a user with the Integration Application permission.

  2. Go to Setup > Integration > Manage Integrations > New.

    The Integration form appears.

  3. Enter a Name for the integration — for example, “OpenAir Integration”.

  4. (Optional) Enter a Description.

  5. Set State to “Enabled”.

  6. (Optional) Enter a Note.

  7. On the Authentication subtab, check the User credentials and Token-based authentication boxes.

  8. Click Save.

NetSuite generates the following information and displays it on the Integration page: Application ID, Consumer key and Consumer secret.

  9. Copy the Application ID, Consumer key and Consumer secret and store the information in a safe place. You will need to enter this information when configuring OpenAir for the integration.

    Important:

The Consumer Key and Consumer Secret are displayed only one time. You will not be able to retrieve this information after you close, refresh or leave the page. You can generate a new Consumer key and Consumer secret at any time. To generate a new Consumer Key and Consumer Secret, go to the integration record for the OpenAir integration, click Edit, then click Reset Credentials and OK to confirm.
