Synchronize vendors with BILL
Payment Automation creates eligible QuickStart vendors in the connected BILL organization and stores the resulting BILL vendor identifier and network status on the vendor. Open Menu and select Payables > Vendors.
Bulk synchronization eligibility
A vendor is eligible for Refresh BILL data when:
- Payment Automation is enabled.
- The QuickStart account has a BILL organization.
- The vendor has the information required by BILL.
For bulk synchronization, the billing address must include address line 1, city, postal code, and country. Vendors without a usable billing address are skipped.
Refresh BILL vendor data
-
Open Menu and select Payables > Vendors.
-
Select Refresh BILL data.
-
Wait for the BILL data refreshed confirmation.
The refresh creates missing eligible vendors in the connected BILL organization. It then retrieves BILL vendor data for vendors that already have a BILL identifier and updates their stored BILL network status.
Review BILL information
-
Open the vendor.
-
Select BILL information.
-
Review the BILL vendor ID and BILL network status.
The network status can be Not connected, Pending, or Connected. The tab is read-only and is hidden when Payment Automation is unavailable or the vendor has no BILL identifiers.
Automatic synchronization
When you create a vendor after a BILL organization exists, QuickStart asynchronously creates and synchronizes the eligible vendor with that organization.
Important limitations
- Changes to an existing vendor are not currently sent automatically to BILL.
- Deleting a vendor does not currently delete the corresponding BILL vendor.
- Refresh BILL data synchronizes BILL identifiers and network status; it does not overwrite the QuickStart vendor’s name, email, phone, or address with values from BILL.
