Configure employee self-service
Configure self-service to allow employees to update their own personal information and emergency contact from My profile. Open Menu > People > Settings.
Before you begin
You need administrative access to People settings. To send notifications about profile changes, the person who should receive them must already have a person profile.

Open Menu > People > Settings.

Select Self-service.

Configure self-service:

To enable self-service, select Allow your workforce to edit their profile information. Under Notifications, select the person who should receive email and in-app notifications when people edit their profile information. Select None if no notification is required.

To disable self-service, clear Allow your workforce to edit their profile information. If a notification recipient is selected, the Disallow self-service? dialog opens. Select Disallow to clear the recipient and continue.

Select Apply.
QuickStart applies the settings. When self-service is enabled, employees can edit their personal information and emergency contact from Menu > People > My profile. When it is disabled, employees without permission to edit Person records do not see those edit controls, and the notification recipient is None. Users with permission to edit Person records can continue to edit profile information.
