How the report is calculated
The report includes posting general ledger impact for the selected accounts and periods. For balance sheet accounts, Opening balance is the sum of activity before the first selected period. For income statement accounts, the opening balance includes activity from the start of the fiscal year through the period before the selected range. The transaction rows contain activity within the selected range. Ending balance is the opening balance plus the transaction activity. Draft and other non-posting transactions are excluded.
