Create a tax agency

Use Menu > Accounting > Settings > Taxes > Tax agencies to create the authority that receives tax collected for an applicable country, state or region, and authority level. The saved agency appears in the list and becomes available to related tax records.

Before you begin

You need permission to manage tax records and the jurisdiction details for the authority.

Create a tax agency

1. Select Menu, then select Accounting > Settings.
2. On the Taxes card, select Tax agencies.
3. Select Create tax agency.
4. Enter Tax agency name.
5. Select the Country, State or region, and Tax authority level when they apply.
6. Select Create.

The tax agency appears in the Tax agencies list and can be selected on related tax records.
