Create a date-driven term

Create a date-driven term when due and discount dates must use specific days of the month. Select Menu, then select Accounting > Settings.

Before you begin

You need permission to manage terms and a unique name for the new term.

Create a date-driven term

1. Select Menu, then select Accounting > Settings.
2. On the Other card, select Terms.
3. Select Create terms, then select Create date driven term on the Date driven term card.
4. Enter a unique Name.
5. Enter Day of month net due.
6. If the term provides an early-payment discount, enter % discount and Day discount expires.
7. Enter Due next month if within days to control when the due date moves to the next month.
8. Select Create.

The date-driven term appears in the Terms list and can be selected on supported transactions and default-term preferences.
