View and dismiss notifications

Use Notifications in the global navigation to review system messages, identify unread items, and open the related QuickStart page when a notification provides a destination. Dismissing a notification removes it from the active list and reduces the badge count when the item was new.

View notifications

1. In the global navigation, select Notifications.
2. Review the notifications in the panel. The badge on Notifications shows the number of new notifications.
3. If View all notifications is displayed with a count, select it to show all active notifications.
4. Select a notification to open its related page when navigation is available.

Opening a new notification marks it as seen and reduces the badge count. A notification without an available destination remains in the panel when you select it.

Dismiss a notification

1. Open Notifications.
2. Select the dismiss action for the notification that you no longer need.

The notification is removed from the active list. If it was new, the badge count also decreases.
