Copy a purchase order
Copy a purchase order when a new order should start with information from an existing purchase order. Open Menu and select Purchasing > Manage purchase orders > Purchase orders.
Before you begin
You need permission to view and create purchase orders. Review the source purchase order and confirm that copying it will not create an unintended duplicate.
Copy the purchase order
- Open Menu and select Purchasing > Manage purchase orders > Purchase orders.
- Open the source purchase order.
- Open More actions and select Make copy.
- Review the vendor, addresses, terms, memo, item lines, expense lines, locations, and amounts. Update the new order as needed.
- Review the Purchase order date and Expected receipt date. The copied order uses a new transaction date and does not copy the source order’s related transactions.
- Select Save as draft or Submit.
QuickStart assigns a new purchase order number. The copied purchase order is independent of the source purchase order.
You can also open Record actions for a row on the Purchase orders list and select Make copy.
