Set import preferences

Configure the delimiters and character encoding QuickStart uses for subsequent CSV file imports. Open Menu > Administration > Data import > File import.

Before you begin

You must have permission to update company-wide import preferences. Confirm the delimiter and character encoding used by the CSV files your company plans to import.

Set import preferences

1. Open Menu > Administration > Data import > File import.

2. Select Import preferences.

3. Select the CSV file column delimiter used to separate columns.

4. Enter the Delimiter for multi-select values used to separate multiple values within one field.

5. Select the File character encoding used by the CSV file.

6. Select Apply.

The preferences apply to file imports submitted after the change. Before importing a file, verify that its delimiters and character encoding match these settings.
