Remove a parent customer

Remove a parent customer from a hierarchy by clearing or changing the parent on each child customer. This does not delete the parent customer record. Open Menu, and then select Sales > Customers.

To remove a parent customer

1. Open Menu, and then select Sales > Customers.
2. Open a child customer associated with the parent.
3. Select Edit.
4. Clear Parent customer, or select a different parent.
5. Select Update.
6. Repeat these steps for every child that must no longer belong to the old parent.

After the last relationship is removed, the old parent no longer heads that hierarchy.
