Migrate Custom Prompts

Users with BI Administrator role can migrate the customizations saved at system level to another environment.

Use the archive and unarchive features to migrate your system level customizations such as the customized columns in an analysis. See Set Properties for Columns.

1. Log in with BI Administrator privileges.
2. Navigate to the Catalog.
3. In the Catalog, switch from the standard user view to the administrator view (Admin View) to see the System folder under Catalog.
4. Expand the /System folder to view the Metadata folder.
   In this folder you can see the file with the subject area name that has the customizations.
5. Archive the file with the subject area name that has the customizations, and then unarchive in another environment.
