Forecasting By Bank

You can allocate forecasts by bank based on defined business rules to review the impact on the forecast.

Once the forecast is finalized, you can allocate the forecast numbers by bank.

  1. From the Home page, click Daily Cash Forecast or Periodic Cash Forecast. If you are a Cash Manager, then click Daily Rolling Forecast or Periodic Rolling Forecast from the vertical tabs.

  2. Click the Rolling Forecast form.
  3. Right-click a line item in the Rolling Forecast form and then click Forecast by Bank.

    If you are a Controller, right-click the form and then select Forecast by Entity. Select the entity and currency you want to plan for from the POV, right-click a line item, and then select Forecast by Bank.

    The Daily/Periodic Forecast by Bank dashboard opens, with three forms:

    • Allocation Method
    • Cashflow
    • Forecast by Bank
  4. In the Allocation Method form, select an option for Bank Allocation Method:
    • Curr Year Average YTD Balance—Allocates the Any Bank balance to specific banks based on the current year average year-to-date balance by bank.
    • Previous Year Average Balance
    • Opening Balance —Allocates the Any Bank balance to specific banks based on opening balance by bank.
    • Last Year Same Period Balance—Allocates the Any Bank balance to specific banks based on the last year same period balance by bank.
  5. Save the dashboard to trigger the calculations.
  6. Review and verify the results.
  7. Once the forecast is finalized, you can allocate the forecast numbers by bank using the best method.
