Changing the Fiscal Year End
Change the fiscal year end to specify the end of the fiscal year in models.
-
Changing the fiscal year end results in partial years at the beginning and end of the model. Partial-year data is discarded during conversion. To retain the data, add a year at the end and/or beginning of the model.
-
To retain historical and forecast data in the years, define the years before and after the historical boundary in monthly detail.
-
To ensure accuracy for years containing aggregate values like year-to-date or trailing periods, make sure there is enough time detail in each year.
To change the fiscal year end:
- Access the Strategic Modeling ribbon in Microsoft Excel, and then open a model.
- In the Strategic Modeling ribbon, click , select Time Period, and then select Fiscal Year End.
- In New Fiscal Year End Month, select a month.
- Click OK.
