EPM for Sustainability

With EPM for Sustainability, you can perform flexible and data-driven analysis, planning, and forecasting of the Environmental, Social, and Governance—or ESG—positions for your organization.

EPM for Sustainability, built on Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud, provides a single source of truth for your ESG reporting and planning, now and in the future, with prebuilt KPIs, metrics, carbon calculators, input templates, dashboards, and reports that include emissions, social, governance, and all other required disclosure metrics.

EPM for Sustainability is a highly configurable best-practice custom Planning application to help facilitate your ESG planning and reporting process with a rapid time to value.

Because it's built on the EPM Cloud Platform, it also supports Task Manager and the approval process, offering collaboration between all levels in the organization.

EPM for Sustainability is a best practice configurable application and not a supported Planning module. Both "Modules" and "Solutions" provide best practices. However, "Modules" are fully supported capabilities in EPM Cloud. On the other hand, "Solutions" are intended to be configured applications that deliver rapid time to value. Custom navigation flows for end users and controllers provide end-to-end process control for the collection, creation, calculation, integrity, and release of your ESG reporting, all delivered with embedded task management and approval processes.

With our customizable, prebuilt dashboards, you can view emissions data across the entire remit of your organization, organized into Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emission types.

Maximize dashboard widgets to focus on the information you want to see, and drill down on charts to view more detail.

Open the form behind the chart to better understand its data. From here, you can open the data in Oracle Smart View for Office, our market-leading Excel-based solution, for more analysis.

You define control factors with user-controlled drop-down lists to apply to the raw emissions data and use the carbon calculator to generate your scope positions, reported data, and output metrics.

Beyond just emissions data, EPM for Sustainability can include all the additional scope elements that you require for reporting, such as the financial, social, and governance aspects of your organization.

EPM Cloud enables ease of data collection from any source using business-owned data integrations, native data input, and input from Excel using Smart View.

When you bring together all these elements into a single source of truth, you can not only validate your actual data but make forward-looking plans, enabling you to look for answers to questions such as:

EPM for Sustainability also supports important frameworks for ESG data, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Our bottom-up approach to ESG enables you to populate standard CSRD and other reporting framework templates to generate the sustainability reporting you need.

ESG data in EPM Cloud can be fully integrated into your wider planning capability, combining both financial, non-financial, and ESG metrics. For example, if you’re planning non-renewable energy metrics, see how that’s factored into a capital expenditure project for solar power generation.
