Email notifications for Journal actions are based on entity access, not on the Consolidation Journal roles. Users that do not have the Consolidation Journal roles and that should not be receiving emails should disable Consolidation Journal notifications from User Preferences.

To disable Consolidation Journal notifications:

  1. From the Home page, select Tools, then User Preferences.

  2. Select Notifications, then Status Change Notification, then select Consolidation Journals.

  3. Change the setting for You are the journal submitter and the journal needs to be posted to Never.

  4. Change the setting for You are the journal approver and the journal needs approval to Never.

  5. Save the changes.
